“ An album that really moves you and identifies Chapman as a writer to keep an eye on” - FATEA Records Magazine
"First and foremost Chapman has a stunning voice – intense and evocative, and lyrically his songs are intelligent and thought-provoking" - Hastings Observer
Singer songwriter CHAPMAN launched The Bare Bones Sessions, a series of 'as live', online only performances at 8pm (GMT) on Friday 23th July 2010. Playing cover requests from fans alongside 'Bare Bones' versions of tracks from his own albums, CHAPMAN will perform a new session each week. Each session will feature one cover song, dedicated to the person suggesting it and one CHAPMAN original. To catch these sessions go to www.youtube.com/barebonessessions
The Bare Bones Sessions follows up the release of CHAPMAN’s critically acclaimed second album The Mr Ballad Trilogy that included the popular alt-country/folk fusion track Hum Along. Said CHAPMAN, “The Bare Bones Sessions is my way of connecting with fans without going out on the road. More and more artists are finding it hard to make money touring especially those operating independently. We all know the music industry is in flux and we have to think differently. By being made up of requests The Bare Bones Sessions is audience participation for the 21st Century.”
CHAPMAN is a singer/songwriter heralding from the South Coast, blending elements of Folk, Vintage Soul and Rock with strings, brass and a truly unique vocal. His 2006 self–produced debut Unexploded Bombshell enjoyed massive support from MySpace fans driving sales of the album, prompting a series of successful UK gigs and a promo for the evocative Burning Bridges. Leaving London in 2007 CHAPMAN set up his new studio The Sound of St. Leonards, where he recorded the recently released and critically acclaimed The Mr Ballad Trilogy.
